Wedding Guide

Weddings held at New Shiloh are FOR MEMBERS ONLY

New Shiloh receives many requests from couples who wish to be married in our Sanctuary. We invite you to explore our wedding guidelines that have been put in place in order for you to rent our facility.

Steps To Take

The following steps are required of all couples who wish to use our sanctuary.

1. Contact us to express your interest and provides us with the necessary information.

WAIT UNTIL YOU HERE FROM THE DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS BEFORE COMMITTING YOURSELF TO ARRANGEMENTS FOR A RECEPTION OR PHOTOGRAPHER, ETC.

2. Meet with the officiating Minister at a mutually convenient time.

3. Attend your pre-marital counseling sessions.
Who Officiates
You will be assigned one of our ordained ministers to meet with you and officiate your wedding.

Facility Rental
Please contact our Director of operations for rental costs.
Prices include Sanctuary or Fellowship Hall usage and a audio technician only

Guidelines

Wedding Day:
Please make sure your wedding starts on time. You have a 30 minute grace period before your security deposit will be used to pay for overtime. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

Wedding Cancellation:
Please contact the church office as soon as possible, if you decide to cancel.

Rehearsal


You will be granted a 2 hour block for rehearsal. If your wedding rehearsal begins at 6:00 p.m., it will end at 8:00 p.m. The 2 hour block is to ensure that our maintenance staff will have enough time to prepare the sanctuary for your wedding. If you there are children in your wedding, they must be attended to at all times.

Vestibule
One table will be provided for your guest book and gifts. No ice sculptures, food, rice, bubbles, smoke machines or confetti will be permitted in the vestibule or sanctuary.

Restrooms

We have provided our guest with restrooms located on the southwestern side of the building. Please do not allow your children to use the restrooms by themselves.

Pews
Under no circumstances nails or tacks will be permitted on any pews. Masking tape may be used.

Candles

Due to our fire alarm system candles should not burn in the sanctuary for a long period of time. We suggest that once your candle lighting ceremony takes place you please blow your candles out immediately following use.

Pulpit Area (Stage)
No musical equipment or pulpit furniture will be removed during your ceremony.

Horse and Carriage
A Horse and Carriage may be used as a drop off or pick for your wedding. The Horse and Carriage Company must leave as soon as you are dropped off or picked up. The company you are renting from must secure the horse waste materials. If an accident occurs your security deposit will be used.

Wedding Schedules:
All weddings will be scheduled no earlier than 3p.m. so that we can accommodate any morning events such as funerals. 
(no exceptions)

Deposit:
A 50% deposit is due at the time of scheduling your wedding date. Your final payment must be paid 30 days prior to the day of your wedding by means of cashier?s check, money order or cash. No checks will be accepted at this time.

Security Deposit Refund:
Your security deposit will be refunded within 7-10 business days if there are no incidents during your wedding. If there are any incidents, the Wedding Administrator will advise you if there will be any disbursement of funds.
The Wedding Administrator will contact you when your refund check is available.
